the golden cliff

A lone sailboat glides past a towering cliff face streaked with gold, its white sail catching a pale sky while the water below mirrors back flashes of amber and light. Painted with bold impasto strokes, the texture is raw and physical — you can feel the weight of the rock, the cold of the air, the quiet resolve of a vessel moving forward regardless. A painting about passage: the immovable on one side, the open horizon on the other, and the small brave thing sailing between them.
